What is Nubuck Leather and Types

The surface of the hide was scraped with extremely fine sandpaper to create the distinctive leather finish known as nubuck. Today, nubuck is the name given to the final product, much like aniline leather is named after its finish. It is leather that has typically been processed on the exterior, or grain side, of the animal. Because the outside of the hide has been in contact with many different components throughout the animal's existence, the advantage of sanding on the grain side is that the leather will be more durable. Due to its strength and density, this area of the hide is more robust and long-lasting.
